DESCRIPTION: Illustrations are a great communication tool when dealing with design, especially packaging and instructional design because they are eye-catching and easily understood. The Casa Visco company, is a family owned pasta sauce manufacturer. This line of products is made from authentic Italian recipes. From the brand identity to the label development, there is a continuous theme in these products; tradition and spice. These attributes make it stand out from the rest on a store shelf, giving it an immediate competitive advantage. The representation of “fire” on the background of the label and the addition of the red-chili, give a clear and sophisticated representation of this exotic and “spicy” pasta sauce for the Italian connoisseur. Some of these illustrations are stock art and some were generated by myself.
