DANCE MAGAZINE
ROLE: Design Support, Photography Manipulation & Archive Management
DESCRIPTION: Dance Magazine is a publication that has covered the unique world of dance for nearly 100 years. Through these past 100 years, an extensive and valuable photographic archive has been growing with timeless pieces of photography depicting world-renowned dancers and performers. Capturing the right moment in time on a dance photograph is extremely challenging because the soul and passion of the dancer is central to the emotional response the viewer will experience. However, the essence of the performance or dance piece being performed must also be represented. Additionally, composition, aesthetics, and artistic skill are key features to keep in mind when choosing a photograph for a publication cover.
